Gradually write off the initial cost of (an asset) over a period.

Example: The company acquired amortizable intangible assets of $186 million.

describing or involving arrangements or trade between different businesses, rather than between businesses and the general public

Example: He growth of the internet has increased productivity, especially through business-to-business e-commerce.

Describing or involving the sale of goods or services to single customers for their own use, rather than to businesses.

Example: The current directive concerning unfair business-to-consumer commercial practices in the internal market does not provide for these new advertising methods.

To own something such as a business together with one or more other people.
